The Mayor of Tartu City hosted this years Welcome Reception of Biosystems Engineering 2019. This is already third year when the Mayor of Tartu graces this event with a reception. In his greeting speech the Mayor welcomed all participants of the Conference as well as the members of IEA Bioenergy Task 37 to Tartu and pointed out how important the science, eduation and culture in general is to this city. Especially as Tartu has applied to become a cultural capital of Europe for the year 2024.

We thank our Mayor for the welcome and hope to extend our collaboration into the years to come.
